GREAT RECIPES, FUN CRAFTS, AND HELPFUL?INFORMATION!

Cook, craft, and create with recipes, projects, and ideas from the enormously popular blog SixSistersStuff.com. Camille, Kristen, Elyse, Stephanie, Lauren, and Kendra are six sisters who share their easy, affordable recipes and crafts in this collection of family favorites. These pages contain more than 90 tried-and-true recipes that use ingredients commonly found in your pantry, with easy-to-follow instructions and photographs of each dish. Charming do-it-yourself projects, such as stained Mason Jars and a Ruffles and Yarn Wreath, are fun to create and require little time or money. Suggestions for indoor activities for kids, healthy snack ideas, or an inexpensive night out are among the many lists included in the book.

?We don?t profess to be amazing chefs,? the sisters claim. ?We just know the importance of feeding our families a home-cooked meal and sitting down to eat it together. Even the busiest of people can make the food and project ideas we share, which will give you even more time to spend with your family and loved ones.?

THE SISTERS!

thesisters

Before we started blogging, we were constantly calling each other for recipe ideas, craft projects, and ways to keep our children entertained during those long winter days. The blog was the perfect way for us to share those ideas with each other and we were having so much fun doing it.

We are all busy, whether it?s with our kids, jobs, school, husbands, community involvement, or something else eating up our time, so all the recipes and projects you will find on this blog are quick and easy! Our recipes are family favorites that use ingredients that can commonly be found in your pantry and our crafts and home decor projects can be made with little or no money.

We don?t claim to be amazing chefs-we just know the importance of feeding your family a home-cooked meal and sitting down to eat it together. Our mom and dad taught us so many great values and we are thankful that they instilled the importance of family time in our lives. Even the busiest of people can make the food and project ideas we share, which will give you even more time to spend with your family and loved ones.

My Review:

This appealing book cover tells it all about the contents of this fabulous Six Sisters? STUFF book.? It is chock full of delicious main meals, slow cooker recipes, sides, salads, breads, and desserts.? It also includes fun crafts to enhance family time together, things to do on a trip, snack ideas, dating ideas,?a 73-hour kit which is a grand idea for times of emergencies, and a schedule for a thorough spring cleaning.

The recipes are simple and easy to make with staples you mostly carry in your home.? My favorites are the Mexican dishes, but don?t stop there.? There?s something for even the finicky eater!?? The desserts are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, with no calories (just kidding on the calories!) The breads section has recipes that I absolutely relish. And the salads are recipes I?ve been looking for.

The goal behind the Six Sisters? STUFF is to get families to eat together more often during the week.? Growing up on the farm, that was an easy thing for my family.? Today?s culture of sports, work, hobbies, lectures, Bible studies, etc., can easily take us away from that family dinner.? The sisters are challenging you to stop the trend of quick bites and learn to cultivate family meals together as often as possible each week.? Cook some of these meals, and take the challenge to eat together as a family.

What a fantastic idea these women have come up with.? It?s all family oriented and the goal is reachable with a little creative changes in our life style.? This would make a great wedding, Christmas, birthday, or wedding shower gift.? Every family should own one!

This book was provided by Michelle Moore, Publicist, Deseret Book|Shadow Mountain in exchange for my honest review.? No monetary compensation was received.
