Carpet Allowance on Cash Home Purchase - Zillow Real Estate ...

Oh okay, thank you all very much for your replies. I just didn't know if I was even allowed to ask for an allowance on carpet or not? I'm not holding them to anything but was just inquiring on what we were allowed to ask for in a?BINSR. I put in a cash offer with almost full asking price prior to the house officially going on the market, as I really really love this house and wanted to see if I could get it before it went on the market, to see if they would accept my offer and not list it. Yes I love this house!?I just don't know how to word it on the BINSR or what to attach or write as the explanation for the request. My agent has never asked for this either thus my inquiry here. I am not sure if anyone is allowed to offer advice on this, but any information would be really appreciated. I would like to just put on the BINSR "$2000 carpet allowance" which really doesn't equal the amount it would cost to re-carpet the house as it is a large house. I was more just wanting to ask for some money towards the cost of the re-carpeting. I was going to attach a document with pictures of the stained carpet and write that

The carpet is well worn and impossible to clean in many places. Cleaning the carpet did not produce adequate results as there are visible stains in the carpet. These stains did not?come out as a result of the cleaning and?the carpet will need to be replaced. Therefore we are asking for a carpet allowance to aid in the replacement of the carpet.?

Could anyone advise if this is even allowed or should I just let it go. The house is over 3000 sq feet with at least half?really more of it being carpet. So I really wanted assistance with the carpet cost, as there are other items that I know I will have to repair/replace/fix/paint if I get the home and those can add up quickly. Carpet can be really expensive so that is why I was asking. I didn't know that I could ask for it when I submitted my offer, but then again this is probably my lack of due diligence as I didn't wait for it to list or see what improvements or lack thereof the seller was doing to the property before listing. I was just so happy to get an offer in and yay, they picked mine which makes me very happy. But, I just need a little help with this carpet thing and I will be set. Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer with regards to wording for an allowance or if it is even allowed.
