Feel the Excitement - Share the Joy - Two Days of Spectacular Dancing - Come and Watch the Exhilarating Annual Island Fantasy Ball and help us celebrate our 21st Year of competion and entertainment.
This elegant event allows you to be swept up in the drama of International Ballroom Dance competition at its finest, with competitors from 6 to 60, and dancing at levels from Novice to Expert.
Saturday?s schedule of events includes the exhilarating International Open Latin Championship; the energy on the dance floor is felt throughout the audience and the rich Latin beat quickens the pulse like nothing you have experienced if you are not there in person. The evening includes a sumptuous buffet served by Spice of Life Catering.
Sunday is a perfect time to bring the family as we get to enjoy the junior dancers looking unbelievably cute as well as talanted; and we feature the International Open Adult Standard Championship; which means that you will enjoy the timeless and classic waltzes, quicksteps and slow-fox?s that made Fred and Ginger famous!
This is entertainment at its finest where the best of the world come to compete with the best of Canada. As skilled athletes, they put it all on the floor, technique, costume, drama and emotion, paired with contemporary and classic music; it is all there for you to experience.
We are once again pleased to be holding the BC Closed Championship event, here in Nanaimo and have done so exclsively for several years now.
